Manly

Manly needs some one to take care of him.
Somewhere along the way,
Some one taught him this.

He shivers
uncontrollably in the tent
When we go camping
High up in the mountains of the Sierras.

He has bad diarrhea,
A skin rash on the knee.
When any change arises.

He needs a hug after you feed him.
The swinging garage door scares him.

He needs you to look away when he poops
Embarassed,
Ashamed.

He doesn’t realize that he is
Magnificent.
Twenty pounds shy of one hundred
Apricot and vanilla ice cream,
A chest like a horse.
Deep...tender,
Yellow and green eyes
Of autumn leaves,
That make you instantly
Fall in love with him.

He is a sweet smile
That welcomes your lips.
Love
And beauty manifest.
